|Pfc. I. Krigsvold Killed in Action|
|Private First Class Ingwald Krigsvold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Krigsvold,
926 Menomonie Street, was killed in action on Luzon, Philippine Islands
on March 13, according to a War Department message to the parents.
Private First Class Krigsvold had been in service nearly three years, training in camps in Tennessee, Washington, and California, before going overseas with an Infantry unit. He went to Hawaii and then to New Guinea. He was in action in New Guinea and the Dutch East Indies, before taking part in the invasion of the Philippines.
Besides his parents, Private First Class Krigsvold is survived by two brothers, Technician Fourth Class Oscar Krigsvold, with the Army in Germany, and Bernard of Eau Claire, and five sisters, Mrs. Selma Bailey, Mrs. Inga Beranek, Mrs. Clayton Pierce, Eleanor, and Geraldine, all of Eau Claire.
