Berlin [?] H. LaMay, brother of Mrs. S. H. VanGorden, 120 Tenth Avenue, has begun training as a cadet in the Army Air Forces Training Command School at Yale University. His training there is aimed to prepare him for duties of a Technical Officer in Aircraft Armament and, upon completion of the course, he will be commissioned a Second Lieutenant.

Verlin H. LaMay, whose sister, Mrs. S. H. Van Gordon, resides at 120 Tenth Avenue, was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Air Corps on August 24 at Yale University. Lieutenant LaMay is a Technical Officer in Armament.
After entering the service July 9, 1940, he went to Chanute Field, IL for basic training, followed by a three-month course in Aircraft Armament at Lowry Field, CO, where he instructed in Aircraft Armament for a period of three years. Prior to attending Yale University, Lieutenant LaMay was stationed at Seymour Johnson Field, NC.Following a 10-day leave, Lieutenant LaMay will report to Orlando, FL on September 5.
