Corporal John Larson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Larson, 425 Grand Avenue West, is now gunner on a B-29. He is in the squadron leadership and their base is at Manila.
He was stationed at Puerto Rico, before going to the Pacific.
Corporal Larson received his gunner's wings at Alamogardo, NM and received other training at Great Bend, KS; Brooks Field, TX; Tyndall Field, FL; and Kearny, NE.

Sergeant John Larson, Army Air Force, right gunner on a B-29, is reported missing in action over Guam, in a telegram received from the War Department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Larson, 452 Grand Avenue West.
No other details were given, but the telegram stated a letter would follow.
Sergeant Larson entered the service in December 1942. He received his gunner's wings at Alamogordo, NM and received other training at Great Bend, KS; Brooks Field, TX; Tyndall, FL; and Kearny, NE.
Before going to the Pacific, he was stationed at Puerto Rico.
He had participated in many bombing missions over Japan, including Tokyo, Nagowa, and Kobe.
