Victor Larson

Receives Bronze Star at Iran Post
Private First Class Victor Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Larson, 421 Hobart Street, was among the 30 servicemen awarded medals for fine jobs, given on the basis of achievements which contributed to the outstanding record of the Persian Gulf Command, culminating on July 31, according to an article in the Dispatch, the Persian Gulf Command official newspaper.

Private First Class Larson was awarded for outstanding service as checker and crane supervisor in a Transit Section. He received the Bronze Star.

After entering the service on July 15, 1942 and receiving training at Fort Bragg, NC and Indiantown Gap, PA, he arrived overseas in December 1942. He has been stationed in Iran with the Quartermaster Corps since that time.
