Lt. Glenn C. Lee to Graduate from Officers' School

Lieutenant (jg) Glenn C. Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Lee, 512 Fall Street, will graduate from the Naval Reserve Officers Indoctrination School at Tucson, AZ with the 20th Battalion of the “Battleship of the Desert” on July 12, after completing 60 days of training in seamanship, navigation, ordnance, and communications, the Eleventh Naval District announced recently.

Designed to acquaint newly appointed officers with every possible element in Navy life, the school specializes in visual training, teaching the student officers naval subjects by actual practice, in addition to studying primary textbooks.

Lieutenant Lee was a hotel manager at Cleveland, OH prior to entering the Naval service.  He attended the University of North Dakota and received a bachelor of science degree there.  His wife, the former Elaine Greenland, resides at 10601 Lake Avenue, Cleveland.

He was commissioned a Lieutenant (junior grade) on April 28, 1944.
