Edward A. Lenfesty

Sergeant  Edward Lenfesty, United States Army Air Corps,  has arrived in England, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lenfesty, Sr., 619 Starr Avenue.  

He entered the service in October 1942 and received his training in Missouri, Florida, Arizona, and New Mexico.

Staff Sergeant Arthur F. McMahon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall McMahon, 521 Congress Street, and Staff Sergeant Edward Lenfesty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lenfesty, Starr Avenue, are together on a bomber  somewhere in England. When their missions are complete, they expect to return home on furlough together.

Staff Sergeant Edward A. Lenfesty, 21, of Eau Claire, has arrived at Army Air Forces Redistribution Station No. 2 in Miami Beach for reassignment processing after completing a tour of duty outside the continental United States. Sergeant Lenfesty flew 30 missions as a B-17 and B-24 gunner in the European Theater, winning the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with three Clusters and the Purple Heart.  He is the son of Mr. Edward A. Lenfesty, 619 Starr Avenue, Eau Claire.
