|City Couple in the Service|
|An Eau Claire couple, who are in the service, are Private
First Class and Mrs. Jacques Lenmark. Private First Class Lenmark is
with the Medical Corps now somewhere in Australia. He entered the
service in December 1942 and trained at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN and
Patterson Field, OH. He is the son of Mr. Oscar Lenmark, 1501 State
Mrs. Lenmark, formerly Arlene Krohg, was sworn into the WAC, Friday, and is awaiting orders to report to camp.
Private Arlene E. Lenmark of the Women's Army Corps, daughter of Mrs. G. M. Krohg, 311 Garfield Avenue, and wife of Private First Class J. E. Lenmark of this city, has been given a job in the Supply Division of the WAC Headquarters Detachment at Camp Carson, CO. She works in the clothing and equipment warehouse.
Eau Claire WACs Home on Furlough Private Arlene Lenmark, Private First Class Madlyn Bandoli, and Private First Class Myra Betz, home on furlough at the same time, relate their experiences to Lieutenant D. Laurie Grimm at the WAC Recruiting Office, Union National Bank Building, this city.
Three Eau Claire girls, each doing important and interesting work in various divisions of the Women’s Army Corp, called at the WAC Recruiting Headquarters here, while home on furlough last week. All were very enthusiastic about their work and consider themselves lucky to be in the WAC.
Besides helping to speed the day of victory, they are receiving good training and having many unusual experiences.
Private Lenmark finished Administration School in Alpine, TX and is now Chief Clerk in a clothing warehouse at Camp Carson, CO. She replaces a soldier and a civil service woman. Her husband, Private First Class Jacques Lenmark, is in Australia and her brother, Lieutenant Gerald Krohg, is stationed at Keystone Heights, FL.
Private First Class Bandoli is stationed at Fort McClellan, AL, where she works in Personnel. Her brother, Lieutenant Harold Bandoli, is stationed at Camp Pine Dale, CA.
Private First Class Betz, Air WAC, finished Administration School at Daytona Beach and is now working as a stenographer in the engineer’s operation room at Gulfport Field, MS. Her brother, Martin, is taking his boot training at Farragut, ID.
