LEROY LENNIE
LeRoy George Lennie, Pharmacist, Second Class, United States Navy, has arrived safely somewhere in the South Pacific, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. L. Lennie, 114[?] Division Street.

Pharmacist's Mate Lennie enlisted in the Navy in November 1941 and received his training at the Great Lakes Hospital; the National Medical Center, Bethesda, MD; and the Naval Reserve Air Base, Anacostia, DC.

In April, he was elected to serve with the Marine Air Corps at Cherry Point, NC and Parris Island, SC as Aviation Medical Technician.

He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in l941.

Eau Claire Man Promoted in Navy

SOMEWHERE IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC  (Delayed)—Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class, Leroy G. Lennie, United States Navy, 19, of 614 Division Street, Eau Claire, WI, recently was promoted from Pharmacist’s Mate Third Class to his present rank.

Pharmacist’s Mate Lennie is attached to a Marine aviation unit as a Hospital Corpsman.

He is the son of Mrs. Mary Lennie of Eau Claire and enlisted December 29, 1941; later receiving his basic training at Great Lakes, IL.
