|Marjorie Haug and Robert Market Wed at Our Savior's|
|CPL. and MRS. ROBERT MARKET
On April 23, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Miss Marjorie E. Haug, daughter of Mrs. Clara Haug, and Corporal Robert D. Market, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Market, all of Eau Claire, were married, Reverend M. T. Jensen performing the single-ring ceremony.
The bride wore a white dress with red accessories and a shoulder corsage of white sweet peas and red roses. Her attendant, Miss Gayle Hughes, wore a dress of gold color with brown accessories and a corsage similar to the bride's. The groom was attended by Petty Officer Third Class George Kumferman of this city.
After a reception, following the ceremony, the couple left for a short trip.
Corporal Market enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 7, 1942. He is now stationed at Fresno, California, where he is training in the radio division. The bride, who is living with her mother, is employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company.
A shower was given in honor of the bride-to-be by Gayle Hughes at her home. A miscellaneous shower was also given at the home of Ruby Hoten.

Corporal Robert D. Market, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Market, is now serving somewhere in the Pacific, according to word received by his wife, the former Marjorie Haug, who resides at 318 Vine Street.
He entered the Army Air Corps on December 7, 1942 and received his basic training at Atlantic City, NJ and radio training at Kansas City, MO and Fresno, CA.
He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal last year and has the Sharpshooter Medal in rifle and carbine.
He is a Radio Technician.

Three Eau Claire men met on Saipan recently and spent two days visiting, during their spare time, according to letter received by relatives here. They were Private Gordon Hagen, Corporal Robert Market, and Private First Class Conrad Nelson.
Private Hagen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagen, 447 Vine Street, entered the United States Marine Corps in March 1944 and went overseas in December. He received his basic training at San Diego, CA.
Corporal Market, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Market, 313 Vine Street, entered the Army Air Corps on December 7, 1942. He is a Radio Technician with the Army Air Forces.
Private First Class Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Nelson, 901 Platt Street, entered the United States Marine Corps in February 1943. He left for overseas the following July and participated in the battles of Tarawa, Saipan, and Tinian.
