Raymond Martenson

S/SGT. RAYMOND MARTENSON
Staff Sergeant Raymond R. Martenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Nelson, town of Seymour, has arrived in the South Pacific, according to a V-mail letter received by his wife. 

He entered the service in October 1942 and received his training at Camp Robinson, AR; Fort Benning, GA; and Camp Rucker, AL.


HANDLES CHEMICAL MORTAR
Staff Sergeant Raymond Martenson, whose wife resides at 1302 1/2 Omaha Street, is serving with a unit specially trained in handling chemical mortars. His organization has been active in the South Pacific, supporting troops which landed on Leyte and other Jap-held islands.
