|CPL. HENRY MARUM
Corporal Henry G. Marum, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Marum, Eleva, was home on a 20-day furlough through the Christmas season, after serving over four years in the United States Army.
He enlisted on October 26,1939 and received training at Fort Missoula, MT; Camp Ord, CA; Fort Lewis, WA.
He was stationed in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands for three and one-half years. He saw action against the Japanese in the battle of Attu.
