|Miss Harriet M. Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Mason of Chippewa Road, who is in training with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps at Daytona Beach, FL, is named as alternate in the list of 70 applicants chosen from the Second WAAC Training Center at Daytona to attend Officer Candidate School at Fort Des Moines, IA. Upon successfully completing the six-week course, these girls will be commissioned as Third Officers in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps.|
|Auxilary Harriet M. Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Mason of Iona Beach, Eau Claire, who has been training at Fort Des Moines, IA, has been commissioned a Third Officer in the WAACS. Third Officer is equivalent to Second Lieutenant. Third Officer Mason, who was graduated last Saturday, has been assigned to an executive position at Daytona Beach, FL and left Saturday evening for her new station.|

Commissioned a Third Officer on April 10, Harriet M. Mason of Iona Beach, Eau Claire, WI is stationed at Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a member of the 22nd Officer Candidate Class at First Women's Army Auxiliary Corps Training Center, Fort Des Moines, IA. Her WAAC rank is equivalent to Second Lieutenant in the Army.
Third Officer Mason returned last Thursday to Daytona Beach, FL, after spending several days here. She was called to the city by the death of her father, the late Arthur M. Mason of Route 4.
|Second Lieutenant Harriet Mason of the WAAC spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Arthur Mason, Bellevue Avenue. She was en route from Camp Lee, VA, where she attended a course at Quartermaster School to Ogden, UT, where she will receive four weeks further training in the Quartermaster Corps. Lieutenant Mason was accompanied by Captain Viola Hopley of Cincinnati, who is taking the same course of training.|
|Lieutenant Harriet M. Mason, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Mason, 128 Niagara, this city, is one of 10 officers who graduated from a four-week Army Service Forces Storage School at the Utah Army Service Forces Depot, Ogden, UT on November 11. Lieutenant Mason entered the Women's Army Corps in December 1942 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant the following April. Her new assignment is with the Quartermaster Corps, Seattle Army Service Forces Depot, Seattle, WA.|
