Don E. McBride

Staff Sergeant Don E. McBride, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McBride, Clairemont Avenue, has arrived home, Sunday, after serving three years in the South Pacific. 

He left here in 1940 with the National Guard and received his training in Louisiana. He went overseas in the spring of 1942 and arrived in Australia. He served in New Guinea and, later, in the Philippines. He has been with the Port Command. 

He is home on a rotation furlough of 21 days. He will report to Miami, FL for reassignment.
