Richard E. McMahon

Private First Class Chester McMahon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert McMahon, 120 West Madison Street, was inducted on December 15, 1943 and trained at Camp Roberts, CA and Polk Field, LA. He left for overseas early in November and landed in England on November 26, 1944. Private McMahon served in England, France, Belgium, and Holland. He is in the Armored Infantry.

His brother, Corporal Richard E. McMahon, enlisted in December 1942 in the Army Air Corps. He received training in Keesler Field, MS; Fort Francis Warren, WY; Drew Field, Tampa, FL; Harding Field, Baton Rouge, LA; and Kearns, UT. He left for overseas on December 13, 1944 and landed in New Guinea on January 17. Corporal McMahon is now serving in the Philippines.

Another brother, Robert McMahon, served six months in the Infantry at Camp Roberts, CA and Fort Bragg, NC. He received a medical discharge.
