Lyman D. Miller

Corporal Lyman D. Miller has arrived safely in Great Britain, according to a cablegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Miller, 2148 Crescent Avenue. 

Corporal Miller entered the service on August 7, 1942 and received his training at Camp Grant, IL and Camp Carson, CO. 

He is a surgical technician.

With Hospital Unit in France

Word has been received that Lyman D. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Miller, 2148 Crescent Avenue, has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He is serving with a general hospital in France.

He recently received the Bronze Star Award for outstanding achievement in the Normandy campaign. Sergeant Miller arrived overseas on January 8, 1944 and landed in France shortly after D-Day.

The general hospital also received a commendation for its outstanding [**data missing**] the difficult task of evacua [**data missing**] patients by air.
